DEPRESSED NOSE: A depressed nose may well be the case due to congenital underdevelopment of the nose. It could be the result of injuries to the support cartilage leading to depression. The primary elements assessed during the rhinoplasty for depressed nose are height of the bridge of the nose, projection of tip, and the element of nose lengthening. |
DEVIATED NOSE: A crooked or deviated nasal septum may make your nose look misshaped. Typically, this deformity is corrected by removal or straightening of cartilage of the nose or bone or by replacing the cartilage in the midline. |
BROAD TIP NOSE: The excessive projection of nasal tip often makes a nose appear broad tipped. A broad tip nose can make your nose look bigger than its actual size. The patients who are interested in making the tip of the nose smaller may require rearrangement of the cartilage to create the desired shape. |
HUMP NOSE: Hump on the nose can be the result of genes or could be an after effect of injuries. A nasal hump can occur with any type of nose. It is a common problem and cosmetic surgeon is able to flatten down the hump using different techniques, which may include, but are not limited to filing down the cartilage of the nose. |
BOXER TIP NOSE: Boxer tip nose refers to the bulbous form of the nasal tip that makes your nose look rounded or fat from the tip. The cosmetic surgeon is able to shape up the boxer tip nose for better appearance by altering the tip cartilage underneath. |
BROAD NOSE: Some people think that their nose looks fine from the sides but not from the front in terms of broadness. In case of broad nose, the skin around the nose could be very thick. The nose could also be wide due to its underlying bone structure and cosmetic surgeon will make an attempt to reduce the width of the nose. |
POST INJURY: Any injury to the nose can cause damage to the cartilage support and bone of the nose leading to change in appearance, asymmetry, and sometimes airway problems. It is imperative to understand that deviations of the septum and damage to the cartilage can be best reset within a week to 10 days after the injury. |
